The hilarious sign has appeared in the build-up to kick off between Scotland and England at Hampden Park.
The bravado is running high throughout the Tartan Army and it seems one confident Scot has taken to the border to remind England where the water - and the football - is better.
Steve Clarke and his team take on the Auld Enemy at Hampden on Tuesday night and confidence has rarely been higher in recent times of a positive result. Gareth Southgate boasts a team of superstars but there's no shortage of quality in the Tartan ranks either, Scott McTominay and John McGinn proving their international calibre in recent games while the left side of the Scotland defence is one of the best on the planet.
It may only be a friendly but Hampden will be roaring by the time kick-off is upon us as Clarke's team look to keep the momentum building after five wins on the spin in qualifying. And it seems one Scot couldn't wait until the game to send a subtle dig south. The Scotland XI Steve Clarke should start against England as 3 changes keep things fresh for Hampden showdown
View gallery A snap of the border sign welcoming drivers to Scotland, appearing to be taken from the side of the M6 or one of the other roads connecting Scotland to our neighbours south, has been plastered with a massive sticker reading 'BETTER WATER, BETTER FOOTBALL.' It's been doing the rounds on social media and sparked hilarity as a bit of light-hearted fighting talk ahead of the big game.
