Last month I was set a challenge to try and lose 12lbs in six weeks after teaming up with the guys at Better.I even got to try the slides at Andersonstown Leisure Centre .As well as discovering the range of facilities and activities that are out there, I wanted to improve my health and fitness in the process.I started my six-week 'journey' with a FitQuest assessment, and if you recall my results weren't so flattering.
At Andersonstown, I tried the Spin class and also enjoyed the Body Conditioning class which was run by former boxer James Fryers. That's what kept me motivated during the six weeks. I always had something different to choose from every day. I could mix up my training, instead of just going to the gym all of the time.
The water slides at Andersonstown Leisure Centre were a real treat - for me, not just my two kids Hannah and Alex.
