Berlin police say they detained nearly 600 people protesting Covid-19 measures on August 1, after hundreds of them took to the streets despite a court-ordered ban on demonstrations.Deutsche Welle reported on Saturday that judges banned 13 planned demonstrations in Berlin, some of which had been planned by the Querdenker movement, which opposes German's coronavirus restrictions.
