Everton midfielder Amadou Onana will serve a one-match ban after being sent off during Belgium's win over Austria.
Onana received a booking before half-time after a cynical foul to thwart Christoph Baumgartner on the counter. He was handed his marching orders 12 minutes from time with a mistimed challenge on RB Leipzig's Xaver Schlager. His red card wasn't received too well in Belgium as he was rated four out of 10 by Belgian newspaper, Het Laatste Nieuws. The outlet described his sending off as unnecessary, they wrote: "On land and in the air. Often sharp in the duels with good ball recoveries.Former Belgium footballer, Timmy Simons, was analysing the game for Belgian television. He added: "He wants to correct his loss of ball in the centre circle there himself and pulls his opponent down far too wildly.
Marc Degryse, who made 226 appearances for Club Brugge as well as scoring 23 goals in 63 at international level, believes Onana has to cut out the unnecessary cautions to eradicate the "problem".
