BBC Radio 2 Live in Leeds cancelled after the Queen's death

Robbie Williams, the Kaiser Chiefs and Spice Girl Mel C were due to perform during the two day event

The two day event was due to take place in Temple Newsam over Saturday, September 17 and Sunday, September 18. The likes of Robbie Williams, the Kaiser Chiefs, Mel C and Craig David were on the set list.

This follows the tragic news that Queen Elizabeth II, 96, died peacefully in Balmoral yesterday . The UK has since entered a period of national mourning, where sporting and entertainment events are traditionally cancelled.The BBC released the following statement: "Following the very sad news of the death of Her Majesty The Queen, as a mark of respect, BBC Radio 2 Live in Leeds will now not take place on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 September.
