Young person's parents brand BBC 'liars' over claims - report

A male BBC presenter has been suspended after The Sun published allegations that he paid a young person around £35,000 over three years, from the age of 17, for explicit images; But the parents of the young person have tonight stood by their claims, according to The Sun, which is reporting that they spoke out to"protect their child";
"We did this to help - and the presenter has got into their head. How did they afford a lawyer? We are so sad.""It's not true," he added. There has been much social media speculation over the presenter's identity, which prompted some big BBC names toSeveral commentators have been critical of the social media frenzy over the claims that the presenter paid a teenager for explicit photos, which are being investigated by the BBC.
"While they are currently strongly defending their journalism, of course it does throw into doubt whether that article and the allegations are true if you have the individual at the centre of it saying that there was no wrongdoing or inappropriate behaviour.
"It's also difficult to believe that The Sun ran this story without being pretty sure of its bona fides," he adds.
