A BB gun was found in a student’s car on Wednesday after Rocky River High School was tagged in a social media post that featured what appeared to be a handgun, the school district said.
Superintendent of the Rocky River School District, Dr. Michael Shoaf sent out a release regarding students safety after a BB gun was confiscated from a student's vehicle on Wednesday, March 23, 2022. ROCKY RIVER, Ohio –
It is unclear if the student has been disciplined; the school district does not comment on student discipline, Communication Specialist Greg Murphy said. However, Shoaf said in the news release that any student found with a weapon or look-alike weapon on school district property could face discipline, up to and including possible expulsion.
Officers searched the building before they found the BB gun in the trunk of the student’s car and confiscated it, the release said.
