On Saturday, he led Nova Southeastern to an NCAA Division II national championship with a 111-101 win against West Liberty in Evansville, Ind. Sunahara scored 28 points on 12-of-17 shooting with nine rebounds. He fouled out with about five minutes to go, but the performance helped Nova Southeastern set a national championship game record in points.
