Battered Ukraine badly needs USA's Patriot missile defence system, but will it come too late? ➡️ Washington is reported to be finally sending its top air defence weapon to shield Ukrainians from devastating Russian attacks 🔴 michael2day
Washington is finally going to give Ukraine the Patriot missile system it needs to boost its air defence itself against the barrage of missiles and drones that are laying waste to the country, according to reports from the US.in the American arsenal. But will it come too late?
US officials say that Moscow has asked Iran to resupply its military with more surface-to-surface missiles as well as drones.. Even worse: the systems are made in Russia, so the attackers know how to evade them. According to UK defence expert Professor Michael Clarke of Exeter University: “Patriot is what Ukraine will need now that Moscow has begun a concerted bombing campaign against Ukrainian civilian and infrastructure targets.”, the Pentagon is about to begin to supply the system, its complexity means it will not be up and running in a matter of weeks. Installing and preparing Ukraine to deploy it could take many months.
