Sophomore pitcher Korey Alston struck out six and allowing only one hit in four innings as Brahmas face Alamo Heights for a chance to clinch at least 27-5A title.

The Brahmas will play the Alamo Heights Mules on Tuesday for a chance to get at least a share of the District 27-5A crown, assuming MacArthur wins its regular-season finale against Highlands on Thursday. A win by Alamo Heights would give the Mules the outright district title. Medina said he decided to bring in Alston early on because he wanted to go to someone who could give MacArthur a spark on the mound.
Alston, who was playing in the outfield when he was summoned by Medina to take the mound, said his slider was on against Burbank.
