The Coronation Street legend and Rita Tanner star is celebrating her 90th birthday
Coronation Street icon Barbara Knox has turned 90 and ITV is about to take soap lovers on a trip down Memory Lane to celebrate the momentous occasion.
After Len's death Rita fostered Jenny Bradley, now Connor, and later remarried Ted Sullivan in 1992. She also married for a third time, to Dennis Tanner in 2012. Iconic Corrie characters such as Hilda Ogden, Emily Bishop, Mavis Riley, Deirdre Barlow, Annie Walker and Betty Turpin all flew out to the sunny Spanish holiday hotspot for the storyline. However, Barbara revealed on a special celebration programme for Coronation Street's 60th anniversary that the jaunt caused tension with their male co-stars.
