MPs are warned that criminals will just create a new dangerous ‘status’ breed if XL Bullies are banned
Mr Martin continued: “I am very suspicious that a lot of these problems originate from poor ownership. I think if we ban one breed, the people who want status dogs will just go and get a different breed,” he said. “When you talk to vets, most of them are not particularly concerned about XL Bullies.. There are other breeds that they have considerably more concerns about,” he continued.
James McNally, Partner at Slee Blackwell Solicitors, also echoed Mr Matin’s concern that banning XL Bullies wouldn’t prevent future attacks by large dogs.
