Surveillance video shared by Balch Springs police shows a person running away between 12:30 a.m. and 1 a.m. at Autumn Run Apartments near Balch Springs Road and Quail Road on Oct. 18. According to police, Fernando Martinez Godina, 20, was found dead in a car at Autumn Run Apartments in the 3200 block of Balch Springs Road. Officers responded about 8 a.m. when a person from the complex called 911 on a welfare concern, said police spokesman Pedro Gonzalez.Police shared surveillance footage that shows a person, whom they believe is the suspect, running away from the car between 12:30 a.m. and 1 a.m. Wednesday.
Martinez Godina’s car is being processed for fingerprints, and the department is waiting for the medical examiner’s office to confirm how he died, according to Gonzalez., Staff, Reporter.
