Bae Doona on the intimacy of Broker, womanhood, and how much she loves being in a car
"It really felt like a return to my mother's womb."spends a lot of time on the road, and as such its stars spend a lot of time in cars. Particularly Bae Doona, who plays the firm but kind detective Soo-jin, a policewoman hot on the trail of Ha Sang-hyeon , Dong-soo , and Moon So-young — an unlikely family thrown together in their attempt to sell So-young's baby on the adoption black market.
It doesn't show up in the film, but there is a background story to her that she once was pregnant with a baby but had the pregnancy terminated, thinking of whether she was ready to be a mother or not, or perhaps in order to focus more on her work and because of that she might have had to give up her baby [later].
