stars Gabi Butler and Lexi Brumback took their seats in the front row to “mat talk” the models at Brandon Maxwell’s fall 2020 New York Fashion Week show, those very same models were backstage getting ready to take the runway. For Maxwell’s Southern-tinged, Americana-inspired presentation, hair was parted to the side and slicked back into long ponytails, and makeup was pared back, mostly eyeliner-focused—the clothes took center stage.
