Baby Noi has been called out as a Raya and the Last Dragon plot hole, but the true problems with her character came down to design, not plot.
Baby Noi and her parents have been called a plot hole in Raya and the Last Dragon, and though her character creates a problem, it's for an entirely different reason. When Raya met Noi and her Ongi friends, she cleverly fooled her into dropping her guard. Once the princess of Heart realized that Noi had been surviving on her own because her parents had been turned to stone by the Druun, she couldn't help but bring the toddler along.
Noi’s Parents Weren’t Turned To Stone When The Dragon Gem Broke In Raya Noi's age seemed like such a problem in Raya and the Last Dragon because Talon seemed safe from the Druun. As a floating market, the citizens should have been protected. Therefore, it's often assumed that the baby's parents could have only been turned to stone six years before when Fang broke the Dragon Gem. However, Raya's experience in Talon clarifies that the nation wasn't as protected as it seemed.
