Choosing a name for a newborn baby is one of the hardest things that new parents will face at the start of their journey.
According to one baby name expert, there's a '100-year rule' when it comes to names, which can often be measured in terms of generations, the Mirror reports. She added: "Sorry to be morbid, but a big influence is that there just aren't that many people with these names around anymore. Names that were common for babies in the 1920s – think Olive, Felix, and Otis – feel youthful once again."
Ellen – This is now seen as a "grandma name" as it was once popular amongst previous generations. It's likely to be some time before this becomes a common choice again.
