A 15-month-old girl was brought by family members to an Oakland fire station at 6:15 p.m. on Monday after being hit by gunfire, officials said.
The injured infant received medical aid from firefighters at Fire Station 4, located at 1235 International Blvd., and an ambulance was summoned to the station, said Michael Hunt, a spokesperson with the Oakland Fire Department. Minutes later, the infant was rushed to the emergency room at Oakland Children's Hospital.
