The women I know and love, many of them of childbearing age, turned to one another not just in fear, but in shared outrage.It must be harnessed against a Supreme Court majority that overturned Roe because former President Donald Trump was allowed to stack the court with conservatives who lied during their confirmation hearings that they’d respect legal precedent.
They know that in Texas, a trigger law was set in motion by the court’s ruling. It will make getting an abortion not only illegal but a potential felony, spurring criminal charges or civil penalties.
