The body was discovered wrapped in plastic in Lake Guntersville near the border between Marshall and Jackson County a week ago.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office said the death of Jamari Jajuan Moore, ,25, of Scottsboro has been classified as a homicide.
The investigation is currently being handled by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and Scottsboro police, with assistance from the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences, Jackson County District Attorney’s Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
