An armed robbery was reported at Parkway Liquor Store, then three spots were burglarizeda in a strip mall the next night.
In a pair of news releases on Tuesday, the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office reported an armed robbery at Parkway Liquor Store on Route 22 last Wednesday, and a separate spate of burglaries at three businesses in a Stryker’s Road strip mall hours later.
The liquor store at 971 Route 22 was held up at 6 p.m. Dec. 28. The prosecutor’s office described the man as wearing dark clothes, a surgical mask, yellow work gloves and a Nike backpack. He showed a black semiautomatic handgun and stole $384 and a bottle of cognac. Separately, a trio of burglaries were reported at 4 a.m. Dec. 29 at a Stryker’s Road strip mall. The prosecutor’s office says surveillance video showed two men wearing masks and gloves breaking into Good Guy Vapes, Italy Restaurant and Pizza, and No. 1 China Restaurant, where they stole a combined $8,600.
The men drove off in a silver Chevrolet SUV with Delaware plate PC136859. The prosecutor’s office says the vehicle was reported stolen earlier in the day.
