Ross Dudgeon and his wife had to buy new clothes, toiletries and other items after their suitcases didn't appear at Edinburgh Airport.

Angry Australian tourists have had to spend two weeks visiting Scotland without their belongings after an airline lost their bags.

The couple say they were left to carry their newly bought items around the country in shopping bags as a result. "You can't keep blaming Brexit and Covid, this is just ridiculous. How does that happen? If bags were lost at the airport at Melbourne or Sydney, there would be someone there. Ross and his wife found the baggage carousel moving with luggage on it, but realised their bags weren't coming. They went in search of help to locate their bags but found an employee who asked them to scan a QR code to log details of their lost luggage.

Reports suggest Swissport is having recruitment difficulties and is short of staff and equipment such as luggage crates and trailers to move bags between the terminal and aircraft.
