The FBI warns that extremists may use the conflict in the Middle East as a reason to incite violence.
In a statement, the Austin Police Department stated it's working with federal and state agencies as part of its preparedness.Police didn't specify what the tactical alert means for security reasons, but APD did say that officers would be working with state and federal agencies to asses any possible local impacts associated with the war in the Middle East.
