Astros star Yordan Alvarez goes on injured list with oblique injury
Yordan Alvarez goes on the injured list with oblique discomfort two days after Astros teammate Jose Altuve returned after being out four games with the same ailment.The star outfielder/designated hitter was placed on the 10-day injured list Friday with what was called “right oblique discomfort.” He will return to Houston for further evaluation instead of remaining with the team for its three-game series against the Guardians beginning Friday night.
Teammate Jose Altuve had recently missed four games himself with what was called oblique discomfort. He returned for Wednesday’s loss to the Blue Jays.
