In fairness, neither have many of his counterparts. If the Astros intend to trade Odorizzi before Tuesday’s deadline, seven scoreless innings against the Mariners may have skyrocketed his value. “I think everybody’s name pops up in trade speculation at one point or another,” Odorizzi said. “I’ve been traded three times before. I don’t pay attention to stuff like that at this point. Staying away from social media is a nice key to all that type of stuff. I think that’s just more rumor than anything else. It makes it a much more simple lifestyle.”
Click could demand far more for José Urquidy, Luis Garcia or Cristian Javier — all pre-arbitration players with minor league options and at least three years of club control remaining.
