Astros' C.J. Stubbs reflects on wild 48 hours, brief World Baseball Classic experience

Stubbs is close with his brother Garrett as both make their way through pro baseball, but Monday night, C.J., the Astros farmhand, had a genuinely good reason for not wanting to talk to his sibling.
"They told me they might need me because Garrett might be going down, but I didn't want to tell him and influence his decision on whether he was going to try to play or not," C.J. said in front of his locker stall in the Astros' big-league spring training clubhouse Thursday morning. "I just went straight to the car," C.J. said."I didn't even go to the hotel and grab a toothbrush or anything. I just drove right down there with my baseball stuff. I got there and started meeting with everyone and got the process going."
"It was a lot of fun," C.J. said."You can't really think too much about it. It's not really going to help anything. I felt really relaxed, just knowing that nothing really can go wrong, because I'm the underdog in the whole situation."
