Including the 2021 ALDS, Lynn had lost seven consecutive starts at Minute Maid, logging a 6.80 ERA . For 5 2/3 innings on Friday, the Astros had mustered just one hit off Lynn — a single by Corey Julks in the first at-bat of his major league career — and trailed 3-0. In relief of Javier, Phil Maton, Seth Martinez, Bryan Abreu and Rafael Montero were impressive, allowing three hits in four scoreless innings.
