Artists whose work was selected to appear in Akron on Deck II will split 40% of gross sales, paid annually, for life.
has worked with local artists to create 54 new card designs featuring Akron icons and landmarks.
Akron artist Chardae Slater’s “Space Jam” mural, featuring LeBron James, was selected to appear on the deck’s 2 of Diamonds card. Slater said being selected for Akron on Deck II is a “big deal” and that she is, “grateful that my artwork is being noticed and recognized even almost two years after it was completed.”
Love and his team also consider image quality and vertical/horizontal orientation when deciding which art to include.
