The 24-year-old died Tuesday after police say they found him suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
According to The Herald, police responded to a home in the 2000 block of Shadyside Drive at 2:35 a.m. after a report of shots fired.
They reportedly found Carr suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to the Sharon Regional Hospital, according to the paper, and was pronounced dead there. The Herald said that witnesses said that Carr and Sewell got into a fight outside of then home when “Sewell produced a firearm from his waistband and shot Carr multiple times.”
Carr ran for 6,847 yards and 111 touchdowns for Hickory High School. Both of those marks are all-time Mercer County records.
