The operator of 27 parks in the U.S., Mexico and Canada says it thrives in many other major markets with rival theme park operators.

Arlington’s Six Flags Entertainment Corp. says it’s ready to welcome a major theme park competitor to North Texas. Six Flags Over Texas, the company’s signature park, is only a 45-minute drive from Frisco, where Universal Parks and Resorts this week took the wraps off plans for“In many of our major markets, we coexist and thrive with other leading theme park operators, including Universal, and we welcome them to the D-FW area,” said Six Flags spokesman Stephen Purtell.
“As more people flock here to live and vacation, we look forward to hosting them at our Six Flags parks to enjoy world-class coasters, water rides, enhanced dining options and facilities, and more family-friendly rides and seasonal events than ever before,” he said.
