By kickoff Sunday afternoon in Landover, Md., 10 days will have passed since the Cowboys last played a game. Since that moment, the Eagles have lost again to...

One can only guess what kind of games will be played this weekend when players attempt to collect their thoughts and return to the brutal game that is their chosen profession. Some are playing with playoff hopes on the line. Some, like Washington, saw those chances erased last weekend even if head coach Ron Rivera showed he was unaware of that fact after the loss to Cleveland.

Parsons is someone you would hope to get about five or 10 snaps Sunday and head to the bench. Again, this is difficult because when the game begins, those chances of winning the East and playing home games are very real and not to be tossed aside. But Parsons has been a diminished player in the latter part of the season. He has one sack in his last five games after registering 12 through the first 11. He is credited with just six tackles in the last three games, below half of his normal average.

Without Pollard, despite Tennessee resting several defensive starters, Elliott and Malik Davis ran 29 times for 76 yards . And it was mostly Zeke spinning his wheels. The passing game was only marginally better because of the turnovers. Yes, CeeDee Lamb reached 100 yards receiving but that required 14 targets and 11 catches with the final yard coming on a third-and-8 screen pass at the two-minute warning.

Before sitting out in Tennessee, Pollard ran 38 times for 136 yards in his last three games . The burst that has allowed him to rank sixth in yards after contact despite being only 11th in the league in rushing has largely vanished.
