A young suspect has been taken into custody in a Monday-night shooting in west Birmingham that left another teen injured. Both the injured victim and the suspect are 14 years old.
A young suspect has been taken into custody in a Monday-night shooting in west Birmingham that left another teen injured.West Precinct officers were dispatched about 5:45 p.m. MondayOfficers arrived on the scene and observed the 14-year-old boy suffering from a gunshot wound to the foot.
The victim was taken by Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service to the hospital. His injuries are not life-threatening. Officer Truman Fitzgerald said the two teens know each other and got into an argument, which led to shots fired.
