Archaeologists found the walls in a cave underneath a building site in Nottingham.
By Amy Phipps & Joe LockerRemains of a 19th Century prison have been uncovered by archaeologists excavating a city centre cave.
In 1610 it become a House of Correction for the poor and homeless and in about 1806 a new wing was built to improve the accommodation.When the site was considered no longer fit for purpose it closed and fell into disrepair.
