AppZen, whose AI software helps finance teams automate processes, has raised a total of $100 million after a new funding round

AppZen Inc., a maker of software for business finance teams that uses artificial intelligence, has raised $50 million in a deal led by hedge-fund firm Coatue Management.

The San Jose, Calif.-based startup makes software that finance teams can use to automate processes. For example, AppZen said its AI technology can help perform real-time audits of a company’s spending, including supplier invoices, travel and expenses, procurement and credit cards.
