The latest Apple Watch software has caused a serious charging issue for some users. Here’s what to do.
So, if you didn’t update, should you hold off? Well, maybe not. It depends on the charger you’re using because…Woes seem to be restricted only to those using non-Apple chargers and chargers that are not Apple-certified. Many of the issues have come from multi-charge devices.
is performing exactly as expected, and identically to how it worked before the update. All the Apple Watch chargers I have, MagSafe charger, MagSafe Duo and cabled pucks, are working fine.Yes, the easy way to sort this if you’re affected is to charge your Apple Watch from the Apple cable that came with it or an Apple charger. It’s hard to fault Apple for not checking every third-party charging option.
But that doesn’t change the fact that a lot of people have found that the charging option they had previously used is not working now. That’s frustrating. And I wouldn’t have high hopes that these third-party chargers which are now not doing their job will spring back into life again after a further update. If they’re not Apple-certified, then these may not be Apple’s priority.
