Instead, we have a conspicuous gap in the Mac range; a gap that Apple said it would fill, and a gap that those needing as much performance from their Macs as possible were expecting to be filled by now.Are there practical reasons for the delay? No doubt there are. Perhaps the biggest mistake was not communicating this to the community.
Apple’s senior staff have conducted several interviews in the last six months to talk about Apple’s portfolio, some in the mainstream and some in the specialized online sites. Again, opportunities to set expectations and turn this missed deadline into a positive message. Because the question is no longer ‘when is the Mac Pro getting released?’ but ‘will Apple even release a Mac Pro?’
