Apple CEO Tim Cook was once much more optimistic that tariffs wouldn't happen.
President Donald Trump met with Apple CEO Tim Cook on Friday.
Apple will see tariffs slapped on the iPhone, its laptops, AirPods, and a host of other devices because they're mostly manufactured in China. Samsung won't need to pay equivalent tariffs. Trump said Cook"made a good case" that tariffs could hurt Apple given that Samsung's products would not be subject to those same tariffs.
