Apple has temporarily closed all of its New York City stores to in-person shoppers as coronavirus cases soar in the Big Apple.
Apple’s massive Fifth Avenue flagship — as well as its Grand Central, SoHo and World Trade Center stores and smaller outlets across the five boroughs — are all closed to shoppers, according to the iPhone maker’s site.Locations in Westchester County, Long Island, New Jersey and upstate New York remain open for in-person shopping.
The closures come as the Omicron variant spreads rapidly in New York, forcing thousands of workers to call out sick.for some fully vaccinated workers who test positive for COVID-19 from 10 days to five days. Apple typically closes a store when 10 percent of its employees have tested positive for the coronavirus,
