Henry Cordon has been convicted in state and federal court in California, now his third and final case is pending in Florida.
MARTINEZ — An Antioch man who is already facing a lengthy federal sentence has been given 13 years in state prison for molesting a child over a four-month period, court records show.
Henry Cordon, 36, was sentenced Friday by Superior Court Judge John Cope. Now, Cordon faces a third and final criminal case, in Florida, where he’s accused of molesting a toddler and filming it. Cordon allegedly confessed to the crime after federal agents raided his home in 2019, according to the criminal complaint.
Cordon was sentenced to six-and-a-half years in federal prison in 2020, for molesting a young child and filming it, according to court records. But this was only the start of his legal problems. Last April, a jury convicted forcible sexual abuse and showing harmful material to a child. The charges alleged he abused the victim in Contra Costa and Stanislaus counties between May and September of 2017. In Florida, he faces a federal charge of sexual exploitation of a minor, which carries a potential life sentence.
Cordon has been under federal investigation since 2019, when Yahoo! tipped off federal authorities to suspicious activity involving Cordon’s account. Police obtained a search warrant for his phone and other electronic devices, and ultimately found nearly 200 files depicting child sexual abuse of 46 different children. Most of the files appeared to have been downloaded, authorities said.
