Anthem has bumped up drop rates, on purpose this time, but now there's only one thing worth doing in the game.
by the end of the week after the “accidental” boost fiasco earlier this week, and lo and behold, I was right. Sort of.has not opened the loot floodgates completely, but they have pushed live a change that has “significantly” bumped up drop rates in the GM2 and GM3 difficulties, as well as increased drops from certain legendary bosses across all difficulties from Titans to Ursix to Furies, which now have two drops per death without fail of at least purple rarity.
Unfortunately, the results of these changes in practice are…less than spectacular, and seem to have already broken the farming metagame within hours of the patch going live. When these runs work, they take about 5 minutes and can be done super fast on GM1. The problem can be loading into them once players have already left before the boss so you will literally load in for the boss fight you don’t want to do, and nothing else. And so you promptly leave and try again. I have not seenstay for the Monitor fight after killing the two Furies. That’s how widely known this method is even just hours after this change went live.
which make farming for rolls useless when Legendary gear alone is the only thing that can possibly make you significantly stronger because of the way the player power curve currently works.
