Another Texas, Oklahoma Cold Snap Is Ahead, But It Won't Be Anything Like Last February's Record-SmasherA round of snow, sleet, freezing rain and cold is headed toward the Southern Plains this week.This wintry siege won't be close to the magnitude of the historic cold wave last February.
That's certainly very cold for this part of the country. A few record lows for the calendar day may be tied or set Friday and Saturday morning. We are forecasting chillier than average air to linger over Texas and parts of the South through at least early next week.
