Animal cruelty charges were dismissed against an Alabama Great Dane breeder. A judge said evidence and testimony showed “overwhelming support' for the breeder.

In an order issued this week in Walker County, District Judge Henry Prentiss Allred said the evidence and testimony during a hearing earlier this month showed “overwhelming support” that Click provided proper care for the puppies she sold. King took Apollo to the vet and learned that he had both parvo and worms. The breeder paid the deposit for King’s vet bill but refused to pay the entire bill, King said.
A GoFundMe was launched to help with Apollo’s vet bills. There were glimmers of hope, but Apollo died on Feb. 11. “I am beyond hurt and disappointed,’’ King wrote earlier this year. “I tried everything I could possibly do to keep him alive. I will seek justice for Apollo and his litter.”
