While walking down a street in Manhattan, Cloud was discovered by a casting agent who encouraged him to audition for “Euphoria.”“Euphoria” stars Cloud and Zendaya were classmates at the School of Production Design at Oakland School for the Arts.An HBO spokesperson told The Post on Monday: “We are incredibly saddened to learn of the passing of Angus Cloud. He was immensely talented and a beloved part of the HBO and Euphoria family.
“Angus was open about his battle with mental health and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence,” the family’s statement read, in part. “We hope the world remembers him for his humor, laughter and love for everyone. We ask for privacy at this time as we are still processing this devastating loss.”
Other celebrities who paid tribute include “West Side Story” star Rachel Zegler, who reacted to Cloud’s death on X, the platform previously known as Twitter. “Please remember how loved you are. this world is so quick to make you feel otherwise. there are reasons to stick around. and this world needs you. oh, angus. we celebrate you,” Zegler wrote.Getty Images for HBO
