In a break from the NWSL schedule, Angel City plays in an event designed to promote women’s soccer and highlight the rich Mexican culture in Los Angeles.
Angel City Football Club’s first season has included community work, all with a focus on growing women’s soccer.Angel City will host the Mexican national team in the first Copa Angelina , highlighting the “rich Mexican culture in Los Angeles through entertainment, community outreach and an annual competition on the pitch.”
Earlier this season, Angel City played Mexican club Tigres in a friendly, winning 1-0. In their partnership, the teams will play in Mexico next year.
