The Aussie has no problem going back to where he found plenty of key Celtic cogs.
Ange Postecoglou has pointed to his Celtic example Reo Hatate as a reason why he won't shy away from the Asian market in search of talent.
Now boss at Spurs after leaving Celtic earlier this summer, The Mirror state the 57-year-old "will turn to the Asian market in the final week of the window." And the man himself points to Hatate and Mitoma as examples for why that market can prove fruitful. Postecoglou said: "You look at people raving about Mitoma at Brighton. I watched his debut in Japan when I was on the opposition bench.
"We played Kawasaki and we were champions with Kawasaki second. We played the first game of the year and Mitoma and Hatate just blew us away. "Then you take that sort of open-mindedness in your next role. So when I went to Scotland, I thought: 'Yeah, I'm going to bring three or four Japanese players, they're gonna make it.'
