Speaking on Friday, during a press conference announcing James Vowles’ move from Mercedes to Williams as its new team principal, Mercedes' F1 boss Toto Wolff said, “Cadillac and GM—that’s a statement. That is because the prize money would be distributed between more parties. Formula 1 has a $200 million fee, commonly known as the anti-dilution fee, to be paid by a new entrant and split between the existing 10 teams as effective compensation.
