The Rockford Peaches star of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League is the last surviving player from Garden State.

The game-changerdebuted in theaters on July 1, 1992 Manina said no one knew or spoke much about the AAGPBL.

In the three decades since the movie, Manina still receives fan mail almost daily. Correspondence often includes a copy of her baseball card to sign with a self-addressed stamped envelope. She gets to as many autograph requests as she can, and has received fan mail from as far away as Japan. “Oh my God, if we had had that when we were kids... It is wonderful there is so much out there for young girls...” Manina said.
