Amy Schumer has been candidly sharing her journey through in vitro fertilization . Yesterday, the comedian shared two videos to her Instagram account, which captured her talking to her husband, Chris Fischer, after her egg retrieval procedure.
In the first video, Schumer, under the effects of anesthesia, asks Fischer where her hat is. She asks, “Am I still wearing my hat,” then “Well, where did it go?” When Fischer answers off camera, ““I don’t think you need to wear it anymore. Do you want to put it back on,” Schumer replies, “Yes. I want my hat back on.”
In the second video, she tells Fischer about their plans for the day. She says they’re going to “go to a bar, sit at the bar, get a couple of drinks—just have a blast today,” after which Fischer starts laughing.she was undergoing IVF. Last week, the comedian shared an image of her stomach covered in bruises, writing in the caption that she was struggling and felt “really run down” and “emotional.”
Her post quickly circulated the internet, with fans, friends and fellow moms reaching out to offer their advice and support. She subsequently, in another Instagram post, thanked her followers and shared an update. Along with a picture of herself at the doctor’s office, she shared in the caption, “Thank you ladies and a few gentlemen. We are gonna freeze embryos hopefully. I learned to eat salty food after and drink Gatorade. Ice the area. Take arnica and put arnica on the bruises.
