A Chicago dad who has gone viral on TikTok for paying over $900 to fill up his RV is speaking out as high gas prices remain a serious concern across the country.
At the end of the minute-long video, the gas pump showed that filling the RV with 170 gallons of fuel wound up costing the man an astounding $944.85. Since it's been posted, the video has been viewed more than 16.3 million times."When I tell you my jaw was on the floor," one commenter said."I said $300," someone else wrote. "I was way off.
"I thought it had potential, but nothing like how viral it went," Riley told Fox News Digital. "I thought maybe, at most, like a million views … I’m very shocked.""It literally just blew up," he said. "I’m still kind of shocked at all the publicity," he added. At the end of the minute-long video, the gas pump showed that filling the RV with 170 gallons of fuel ended up costing $944.85.
"We’re very appreciative that we’re able to travel during these times and we were not looking for people to feel bad for us or anything."In 2020, he said filling up the RV cost between $300 and $400.
