But while the American bandwagon was in town, somewhat under the radar, the Great Britain men’s American Football team were also in action on Sunday – losing narrowly 28-23 in a European Championship game against reigning champions Italy. “He was playing flag American Football, a lighter recreational version of the game. I liked what I saw. Following on from that, I tuned in to American Football on TV for the first time – and was hooked,” explains Stephen.
